Alex began playing chess at age 5 and swiftly climbed the ranks to win multiple regional championships in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He began competing internationally by age 12. At 15 years old, he achieved the title of Candidate Master of Chess, and by 17, he had reached the rank of Master of Sport.

Alex started coaching in 2021, mentoring young talent until February 2022. He then moved to the U.S. in 2023 and has continued his passion for developing future chess champions. Alex's dad is an International Master in chess and his mom is an International Grand Master in checkers.

Alex's chess lessons are fun and upbeat, as he enjoys challenging the students and ensuring everyone is relaxed and having fun. He brings a lot of energy and entertainment, making his chess lessons unique!
